The dust has all but settled on the hugely successful Hereford 2009 Festival, perhaps the most successful and acclaimed event that any of us can remember with tickets literately flying out of the box office door from day one.
It was a longer festival than ever before and hence the work behind the scenes was longer and sometimes harder than before.
In order to achieve this we recruited 24 young people from Herefordshire to form our operations team and very smart they looked in their one-off designed polo shirts sponsored once again by Melcon (
Chris Williams who heads up the firm, was delighted to sponsor us in this way on the condition that we used a local firm to print the shirts, so many thanks to Mark 1 Corporate Workwear who worked a near miracle to produce the shirts so quickly.
It was too late to include a formal acknowledgement in the programme book, so I record the thanks of all us to these two companies.
